DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant laws (e.g. Works Constitution Act – BetrVG, Equal Treatment Act – AGG, etc.).
The categories of personal data processed include, in particular, your master data (such as first name, last name, name suffixes such as academic degree/title and nationality), contact data (such as private address, (mobile) telephone number, email address) and the data of the entire application process (cover letter, certificates, questionnaires, interviews as well as any performance evaluations, qualifications and previous activities). If you have voluntarily provided special categories of personal data (such as health data, religious affiliation, degree of disability) in the application letter or in the course of the application process, it will only be processed with your consent.
As a rule, your personal data is collected directly from you as part of the recruitment process. In addition, we may have received data from third parties (e.g. job placement).
If necessary, we enrich the incoming application data with the data that we receive from searches in publicly accessible sources.
The processing of special categories of personal data is based on your consent pursuant to Article 9(2)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26(2) BDSG. We protect this sensitive data with extra care.
The main purpose of data processing is to carry out and process the application procedure and to assess the suitability for the position in question. As a result, the processing of your applicant data is necessary in order to be able to decide on whether to establish an employment relationship. The primary legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26(1) BDSG.
Your applicant data will be treated confidentially at all times. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if this is necessary to establish and/or implement the employment relationship or if we are obligated to do so by law, e.g. in the context of law enforcement measures. Should we wish to process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you of this in advance.
Within our company, only those persons and bodies (e.g. department, works council, representative body for severely disabled persons) receive your personal data who need it to make a recruitment decision or to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations.
In addition, we may transfer your personal data to other recipients outside the company, insofar as this is necessary to establish the employment relationship.
Your application documents as well as most data including minutes and comments will be automatically deleted 6 months after completion of the application process.
To protect the data collected in the context of your application against manipulation and unauthorised access, the transfer of your application is encrypted, provided that you send us your documents via our online application form.
RIGHT OF ACCESS
You may request information about the data stored on you free of charge at email@example.com. In addition, under certain circumstances, you may request the correction or deletion of your data. You may also have a right to limit the processing of your data and a right to publish the information you provide in a structured, consistent and machine-readable format.
You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (data processing based on a balance of interests) or Article 6(1)(e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest). This requires, however, is that there are reasons for your objection that arise from your particular personal situation. This also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR.
If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. Of course, you can withdraw your application at any time.
Our information on data protection regarding our data processing in accordance with Articles 13, 14 and 21 GDPR may change from time to time. All changes will be published on this page.
